A Vision of Compassionate Senior Care —

Rochelle Langlois founded Progressive Care in 2012 with a clear mission: to provide exceptional, personalized care for seniors. As the aging population grew, she saw the need for a facility that prioritized compassion and dignity. Partnering with Kelli Barry, a registered physical therapist, they introduced a holistic wellness approach that blended clinical expertise with proactive health practices.

Their goal was more than meeting basic needs—it was about enriching lives. Under Rochelle’s leadership, Progressive Care became known for innovative programs, top-tier medical services, and engaging activities that promote happiness and wellbeing. Her dedication and forward-thinking vision continue to inspire the team, setting a high standard for senior care excellence.

After facing high vacancies and a declining reputation, business partners Mike Edmunds and Bill Burns were left managing Mount Royal Pines III in crisis. Seeking a solution, they partnered with Progressive Care—a move that brought both stability and growth. The facility soon rebounded, even issuing its first partner distributions in over a decade, marking a strong return to financial health and community trust.

A Ground Up Vision in Detroit Lakes

Pelican Landing emerged to meet the urgent need for upscale senior living in Detroit Lakes. Developed by DW Jones Management in partnership with Progressive Care, the $12.6 million facility opened in November 2019, offering 76 units across independent, assisted, and memory care. Launching just before the pandemic, it stood resilient and has since become a thriving model of progressive care.
